We have a very interesting November to look forward to as the last two matches will be played for all nations participating in the Nations League. Denmark had a wonderful start with two victories against Serbia and Switzerland, but then lost against Spain and then we got a draw against Switzerland. Now we are three points behind Spain, but with a match coming up against Spain in Denmark, we are actually ready to fight to win the group, at least if we beat Spain on November 15.
We should be very satisfied with what we have accomplished so far. Losing 1-0 against Spain in Spain isn't bad at all, and playing 2-2 against Switzerland is also a very good result. We have a good habit of scoring goals, and we have 1.5 goals per match in average so far, a passing accuracy of 85% and a possession of 45% (which isn't really that high).
But, can Denmark end up winning this A group in the Nations League? It is definitely possible, but it will be a requirement to beat Spain at home in Denmark on November 15, and then, most likely, to beat Serbia in Serbia three days later. Of course, if Switzerland will beat or play a draw against Spain as they play against one another in the final match, it might be that Denmark can get away with a draw against Spain or Serbia, but that is just stats and things we don't know yet. The safest thing will be to beat both Spain and Serbia.
After four matches, the Danish goals have spread out between six players, meaning we don't have one big goal machine so far in the Nations League. Albert Grønbæk scored once, so did Christian Eriksen, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Gustav Isaksen, Yussuf Poulsen, and then the defender Patrick Dorgu also managed to send the ball in the net once. We need all to be at their best if we are going to have a chance of beating Spain, the best team in Europe right now.
You can watch all these matches on Danish TV, or you can buy tickets and watch the match between Denmark and Spain live in Copenhagen on November 15th. That will for sure be the coolest experience if you don't have any other chance. If you are unable to watch the match on the stadium, and you live abroad which makes you unable to watch the match on Danish TV, follow these instructions if you want to learn how you can watch Danish TV abroad.
