The History Of The Club

Established in 1997 the Melbourne Storm have had much success over 20 years in the NRL and overseas in club competition.

Being the only NRL licensed team in the state of Victoria they carry the hopes and dreams of everyone that wears the purple of the mighty Storm!

Craig Bellamy (pictured below) has coached the team since 2003 and has played a big part in the recruitment of talent and keeping stars at the club to strive for premiership glory.

Melbourne's song is fittingly called "We Are the Storm".

It's played in the stadium following each home victory.

Judging on there form in the World Club Challenge the Storm should once again finish top 4, they have lost some good players in Tohu Harris and Jordan Mclean in the forwards. Obviously the big loss is Cronk, a lot will come down to how Brody Croft handles his first full season in the NRL at halfback.

I haven't seen croft play much, but with the model Bellamy has it seems to allow players to either step up to fill a hole or find talent where others have not to succeed.
