Hi there,
What about using this space as a foreign language learning and a native language coaching?
For example, I can write something in my mind in English. Someone in this network then coaches about this writing. I can learn from your comments and corrections. I vote on your comments, and other people will also vote if they find they also can learn with my writing (and question), and, above all, the comments from native speakers.
If this kind of activities expanded, various attempts could emerge. At first, though, learning and coaching will be limited to writing-related aspects. As time goes by, some aspects of speaking and listening such as pronunciation may be covered with some other tools.
One day i met many English teachers here in Korea, really by chance. They moved into Korea, incurring not a little personal costs. What would have been their bottom results? I don't know exactly. But I know someone moved from Korea to elsewhere, for example to Australia. He was a Canadian. I suppose he was dissatisfied with his endeavors in Korea.
Now, in Youtube, and more widely in web, there happen various efforts in a foreign language teaching. Are those activities recovering their costs?
What do you think, English- or any other major language-speaking steemians on the other side of the earth?
