The foreskin is the skin that covers the head of the penis and can only be found in uncircumcised men. People who have not been circumcised are more likely to develop a foreskin that is too tight and difficult to retract, which is called phimosis. Generally, the condition of the foreskin of the penis is too tight only experienced by infants and children. Even every baby boy who is born has a tendency to experience phimosis. Phimosis conditions that occur in infants due to congenital abnormalities from birth. However, it can also occur due to penile hygiene that is not maintained properly. To prevent the foreskin of the penis from becoming too tight and unretractable (phimosis), it is necessary to always keep the penis clean. Always make sure to carefully pull the foreskin back to clean it. Instead, do not use soap that contains fragrance to minimize the risk of irritation. Also avoid using deodorant and talc powder on the penis because deodorant and talc powder can irritate the skin on the foreskin of the penis. Treat infections in the penis or foreskin immediately to reduce the risk of scar tissue forming, which can cause the foreskin to tighten. In addition, doing circumcision can also help prevent problems that are too tight foreskin such as phimosis. Currently, there are many methods of circumcision that are comfortable and minimal risk of side effects.
