A short video of Forest Safari in Bandipur National Park and Tiger Reserve . Bandipur National Park established in 1974 as a Bandipur tiger reserve ,is located in the south Indian state of Karnataka. It was once a private hunting reserve for the Maharaja of the Kingdom of Mysore.
Bandipur National Park is about 80 kilometers from the city of Mysore on the route to a major tourist destination of Ooty. Distance between Bangalore to Bandipur National Park is 217 km. Travel Time by road is about 4 hrs.
Bandipur National Park is flanked by the Kabini river in the north and the Moyar river in the south. The Nugu river runs through the Bandipur forest. The highest point in the Bandipur forest is on a hill called Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta.
Bandipur Wildlife Safari Timings:
Morning 6.00 a.m to 8.00 a.m
Evening 3.00 p.m to 5.00 p.m for one hour Ride.
Bandipur Wildlife Safari Charges:
Indian Nationals - Rs. 300/- per person
Foreign Nationals Rs.1100/- per person
JLR Resort/Jungle Lodges and Resorts are the only Bandipur resorts who are authorised to conduct wildlife safaris inside Bandipur National Park
