Westpac has hiked rates independently of the RBA:
- The Big 4 will now likely follow suit
- RBA won't have to hike the official cash rate short term as a result
- Will likely impact spending with slow wage growth and falling house prices eroding wealth
- RBA now more likely to cut
- The Aussie continues to roll over as a result:
