Your story is not unique IMHO. I think all of us have these type of experiences in our lives, many times. Based on what we normally do, we do the things we do, but sometimes our assumption we use in what we do, turn out to be wrong for that one thing at hand that we try to solve, but are not able to. In your case it was not to look at grey out fields. Not giving up, is indeed the way to go! When loosing ones cool, fine, but get the cool back and continue; Otherwise the goals set will not be reached. To make something a success, one need to work, work, work on it :) My most recent experience with loosing cool, and then getting my act together and continue is my life here with all of you on Steemit. I had my rough times, working many hours a day to get good posts done, reading many many posts, engaging with others and had to face all sort of hurdles along the way (empty reward pool, HF19 and the aftermath, and so on); It is very difficult at times, to see all the hours spend on creating good posts get only a few views, gives a feeling of waste of time, but I found my ways to deal with that, and keep on going and going since I love the concept of Steemit, as well as I love to interact with so many interesting people in our community; I simply do not want to give up on that. My assumption was, creating good posts will be noticed, so I concentrated on creating good posts. But it turns out that interacting with the community is much more important, than creating good posts. And I also found out that interacting must be a constant activity, rather than for a few weeks or even months. Since the moment I stop interacting I see my posts efforts less rewarded with views. I also see less new followers. The moment I pick up engagements again, both my posts get more visibility and I get more new followers. So the quality of the posts versus engagement was my error in judgement, my tunnel vision while it is quite logical, since in real life one create good relationships with others also through engagement and interacting. Also in my life outside Steemit, I try to setup several projects that have the potential to become a business. I can tell you, I do dumb ass things at times, and then slam myself in my face when I find out! But all those events where I do dumb ass things based on my own 'tunnel' view, it is a learning for the next time to have a more 360 degrees view, and to question and try those things I normally would not do and just assume. I'm learning more and more assumptions can prevent to reach your goals; I learn more and more to question everything.

I suppose for you the next thing is to learn about trading; I friend I have is already learning trading for some time now and he tells me it takes a lot of effort and time to get good at it. I didn't want to believe him, but now I'm trading with some petty cash at the crypto exchanges for a couple of months, I realise it takes a lot of time to understand the dynamics of trading, to make sure to keep the portfolio in an uptrend most of the time. got confused in your post. So did you managed to run that auto trader on forex or what? if so is it profitable or just another binary thingy?

Still gotta do a thorough run of backtesting to determine optimal parameter settings, but from what I've observed, it can indeed be profitable with the right stop loss and take profit settings, at the least. No binary, runs on MT4.

It is indeed challenging, I have been many years and still a loss in that business. I open a very small account, very small. After many failed times, earlier this year I opened the account again, but not the deposit, and in June just started it again. Loss again but after one and a half months of loss it can change with profit. In this month I just know how it is, but to this day the floating loss is greater than profit.

I think we should be able to adjust the direction of the screen in a fluctuating storm. Confidence in yourself is more important, because no one can confirm the price in the market. I am sure, the longer the trader can control himself.

We've all been in that boat, going mad over the confusion only to be sated by a
simple solution. And that wicked feeling of being the douche dumbass who's anger was unfounded. Albeit a little customer service would have went a long way, don't feel too bad. Great share, good luck on getting rich.
