Influencer Marketing is getting bigger as the days go by as more brands are using it to get their products across to a Global Audience

In the past few years we have seen celebrities market products ranging from Cars to Baby diapers. And with the explosion of Social Media, Influencer Marketing is still bound to gain more adoption

The truth however is that most of these Influencers are celebrities who have gained a massive level of prominence . They no longer do the kind of Marketing which brands really need

Storytelling

Storytelling is very powerful when it comes to pushing your product. It shows the back story behind your product and the main problem that you are aiming to solve

When you build a Purple Cow , then you won't have much issues with Marketing your product.

The term Purple cow was made famous by Seth Godin who wrote a book of the same name. He said and I quote

The key to success is to find a way to stand out. To be the purple cow in a field of Monochrome Holsteins

There are certain things which will make your brand stand out as a purple cow and there are businesses out there who have implemented this method successfully

Build Bridges

When it comes to marketing products, most marketers make use of tactics which often shows the mediocrity of the products they are planning to push. When your whole marketing message revolves around Manipulation people often see through it

People are getting more Immune to bad Marketing, thats why pop-ups and banner ads are suffering bad conversion rates, nobody likes Spam and when your message is spammy you won't gain traction

People love genuine connection. They love Storytelling. If you want to observe what I am saying. Go to Twitter and check the blogs of those online marketing 'gurus' . Compare the engagement they get from posts promoting products and posts that tell stories

People don't like getting sold all the time. GaryVee the CEO of VaynerMedia and VaynerSports have a huge fan base with Millions of followers on Social Media and he alwasy places emphasis on giving value first. You will never see a pre roll ad on his Yoututbe Videos.

He connects with people based on the 'Why' and not the 'What' . When you produce products that really connects with people there will be no need for excessive push.

Despite the high conversion rates of offline and online advertising. Word of Mouth still ranks high as the best form of advertisng and that will only work for you if you build a remarkable product

Treating people like Human Beings first always pays. They are not digits that will be Included in your financial results, they have a soul and you have to treat them as such

Build Tribes

A Tribe is a group of people who believe in a certain idealogy or who are working towards a particular goal

There are currently over Six Billion people on this Planet and there is no way you will create a product that will appeal to everyone of them.

So you have to build a tribe around your product. Make your objectives clear from the begining and you will attract people who really believe in the idealogy of your product

Focus on solving the problems of your tribe. no matter how tiny they are. Overtime you will find out the problems they face and Innovative ways you can bring solutions to their problems

Build A Purple Cow

In a field filled with Black cows, a purple cow will be easy to notice

I have already talked about Purple Cows in the begining of this article and I talk more of it here in this segement. The truth is that before you can involve yourself in remarkable marketing you have to have a remarkable product

When you build a product that is remarkable, people will wonder how they were able to survive without it in the first place.

Most issues with Marketing arises where you are trying to Market average products to average people. If your product is not remarkable people will not talk about It and they will have no reason to share or reccommend it to others

You did not start using Social Media sites like Instagram or Telegram because they ran ads that you saw and liked, those products solved unique problems and you heard of them from people around you who use them

However you do need to go all large scale to build something like Instagram for it to be considered remarkable, you can build a product for a particular Niche that solves a problem and people will rave about It.

Vicis a company based in the United States built a Football Helmet that greatly reduced the Trauma and Concussions suffered by Football players

The company totally overhauled the design of the football helmet by turning it inside out the soft part of the Helmet was now outside while the hard part was inside cushioning the player head. The helmet has achieved mass adoption as NFL clubs and even School Teams use the helmet

Now there are a lot of jobs and sports that make use of Helmets but Vicis thinned down their market to Football players and they were able to even solve more problems. Recent News shows that they United States Military have contracted them to work on Soldiers Helmets

So when building a product focus on bringing solutions to unsolved problems and you will excel

Keep Building

Steve Jobs is an example of someone who built what people never knew they needed or thought possible, ranging from his days of building games at Atari to his days at Apple and Pixar

Sometimes you may build a remarkable product ad people will not respond to it the way you desire, this is always because they don't understand how it works or why they should use it

You just have to build and work on It. You should not abandon the product, keep working on it and with time you will gain traction. A lot of huge businesses now suffered huge loses in their early years but the reason we are hearing of them now is because the founders chose to keep building and not let the Background Noise get to them

Just keep delivering value and with time success will come knocking

So in conclusion, be hell bent on delivering value first. Don't be the one to excessively hype and sell to people

Be the one to provide a truckload of value and when the time comes they will reward you for it with both their time and attention

Build

Ogochukwu, talking about the entrepreneur that builds what people needs without them actually knowing how they need it is superb.

In fact I am building the skeleton of my book around a concept synonymous to that excerpt from your post.

A mathematical statement(formula) that says:
Nonsense + Commonsense = Innovation/Invention

PROOF:
Step 1: Factorize : (Common factor: Sense, so when sense is factorized),

Sense (Non + Common)

When someone builds something that is not common but makes sense
It is called an Invention or an innovation.
QED.

I know that one will ask how to get commonsense, that will be deliberately explained in my future post.
Meanwhile Ogochukwu has really done a good job over time directly and indirectly writing about Common sense and how to get it.
Jut read his previous posts.

I believe in that formula too, makes a lot of sense to me. I'm usually more attracted to ideas that have some element of nonsense in them. 😁

That's great. Thanks for buttressing the point

Indeed the concept of value cannot be over emphasized if one must ensure continuity in the business world.i concur with you that value necessarily sells itself.i appreciate the marketing stragies aforementioned and so i can already point out areas of adjustment in my business..indeed story telling is efficient but i guess building tribes is even more effective..with these two strategies i have no choice but to work on being a purple cow in my field.

Thanks for the Stellar comment @armstrongchris I am happy that you were able to take something out from the post.

When I think of my favored influence over on places like YouTube I like them because of the story they tell. How they showcase that product and most important to me there integrity. Many of them turn down the “quick” money when some low quality kind of product with all kinds of contact recommends come into play. Quite a number of companies out there will require things like the review to be “positive,” have to be removed b y them beforehand, and they have the final say even in the direction of what the video showcasing the item.

Would be nice one day to reach out to companies and get some free games in exchange of writing a review, and providing other types of content like story driven where I take on the readers on my play thought journey. I have certainly seen my smaller impact on people who seem they will try out a game after reading what I’ve written.

I do think this from of advertisement will also solve a lot of issues here on a platform like steemit as it gives people other ways to earn. My goal for the most part is to break even on my spending for games in general. If I can get them for free or even make a little profit form showing the ones I enjoy. That more than likely will be a higher financial reward than one I’ll earn from the post itself.

That's very true @enjar. Like I said in your last post, you can always build your personal brand around the Gaming Industry.

Also check out @steemmonsters by @aggroed you will love it. You can build something from there.

I did notice it the other day. I'm just waiting for that game to be a little further along. It has a lot of potential . In the mean time I did pick up starter pack and a couple of boosters to show my support.

That project looks like it could become accelerated as they pick up some talent. Have an amazing week @ogochukwu.

This is practical knowledge that has helped build global and lasting brandsn

Uniqueness and excellence are beautiful virtues that makes you build a "purple cow"

Keep steeming

Thanks for reading @preciousimo

This is pure beauty, bro, @ogochukwu.
And it is the simple truth that we always forget. We know that people run to things they see value in but when it is time to attract these people we usually tend to attract them using superficial things more than we think of intrinsic value.

I think it's just human instincts that we have to subdue. The urge to get it quickly and easily (because creating real value is the harder part but going about hyping things is the easier part), this urge is just what we have to contend with. By the time this urge has been destroyed and we don't rush to reap without first paying our dues then we would become truly refined in our chase for gains.
