Dear friends today I need your feedback !
Recently I start to think about several important questions .And so the people I meet in Discord(join us here https://discord.gg/RRDzn6c ) .
First of them its about hard fork 19 and voting !
The idea of having my vote 4 times bigger ( even with my usual 0.03 cents sounds really great but also bring some thoughts....
Maybe I stop vote for several days ?
Spending a lot of time in Steem give me the chance to meet so many great authors ........ how to stop support them ? Its people i upvote since I am in this platform ......great names and good authors. From one side i do not want stop support them but do they really need any longer my help ?
About the new authors .......I would like to follow and support every one of you but how ? I don't have unlimited voting power ............. 62% at this moment due a lot of voting ! I don't want to offend anyone with my votes on 20%i just try to help us much is possible !
So how YOU GUYS SOLVE THIS ?
Second thing in my post is about contests and feedback!
I personal run several contests. I usual try to reward every one but seems it's no way to do this !( not this rich ) Many times we have to pic a winner ...........but how ? Maybe I count votes on submission,maybe payout in nomination but is it fear ? Many of you have the support and upvotes from follow trails , guilds but is this the real voice of the community ? My decision is from now on to only count manual votes ! You have to open , read and give your voice ! For the once who decide to spend a bit time and engage here is one contest running of tomorrow .......

On the first point, I just upvote and just don't worry about voting power. I will likely use it up faster after hf19 because I won't change.
On the second point, i have heard of people automating the process of picking contest winners by using random dot org and steemd dot come somehow but I am not sure how to

I would do the same.
For me it's similar to: feed only 4 kids from 10 but with healty expensive food, or feed all 10 buy with cheaper food

Running contests is not easy. I remember someone who I use to follow that would show a close up of a photo (like a leaf at 100x) and then they would say "guess what this is".... the winner would get 50% of the payout.
The contest would only get paid like 0.13 or maybe if they were lucky $2.41
But since there was no winners, the prize would carry forward until soon it was big $50, and eventually a winner would guess the question right.
That is one way of doing it. I think sometimes people end up having more fun participating in the contests than the actual prize sometimes, so that can be good too.. :)
As far as offending someone with your vote (question #1), if you vote 0.01% or 0.1% I hate that... But anything 10% or greater I am happy to have a vote.
What I especially like (sometimes even more than votes) is when people take the time to comment and say something. Much like I am doing now.
I hate simple comments like "this is good" or "i like"....
I like a full sentence or maybe 2 or 3 sentences... if the comment is good, I always upvote the comment. :)

THANK you so much for the great answer ! I will try to use your idea for contests ( sound like a lottery, every week you can win more and its fun ) . About the voting will be even harder to pic people after fork19 and fewer votes but from other side i can vote on 20 % and will be simular and still you are right about commenting !

Hey @patelincho, I know it'll be hard for you as you support so many minnows with your upvotes. But I think it's 10 times in a day with full power, that you can upvote after HF19. So you'll need to be really selective and choose the best post to upvote. But you can still encourage newbies with your comments and re-steems.

It's going to be an experiment after Tuesday, for sure! I vote a lot, so I will probably start voting at 25% power -- since our vote will be worth 4 times as much, it should stay the same. I like being able to spread out what votes I have. I think the HF 19 is more about reducing the power of the whales. So I will try to make my impact stay the same. We will see what happens!

That's interesting, @patelincho! I just keep voting without counting much. I keep track of my voting power on steemstats.com and try to stop voting when I get to 50 or 60% of voting power. So I may have to adjust my percentages, for sure!
