Spiritual formation: Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ

During one of his missionary trips, the book of the Acts of the Apostles tells us that the apostle Paul is taken prisoner. While he was in prison, Paul receives the financial aid from the Church of the city of Philippi, a city in Macedonia, a Christian community that had great emotional ties with Paul, and in gratitude for the help, Paul sends them a beautiful letter through one of his most important disciples, probably called Epaphroditus.
The letter to the Philippians is fundamentally a motivational speech about the spiritual formation of those who decide to follow the faith in Jesus and his doctrine. Paul reminds us in the epistle that the world is given over to sin, and the enemies of the Kingdom of Heaven are numerous, but that this should not prevent believers from praying to God and persevering in the way of Jesus.
Paul explains to us in the epistle that the good intentions and love are not enough, determination and constancy (gift of fear of God) in the objectives are a key to success, being meek doesn't mean being stupid; inconstancy and wanting quick results in a short time are the typical problems that make any community or any personal life project fail:
"Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved— and that by God. For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have" Philippians 1:27-30.
