The management of Formula 1 decided to change women models on the grid with children. Last week was initially announced only that the F1 girls removed on suspicion of sexism. There were strong reactions from the fans of celebrities from sports and beyond. The majority of them were against the abolition of the models. At the other extreme were feminists who argued that girls in such a "stereotypical role" repel overall women participation in F1.
Liberty Media seems to have found "solomonovsko solution" to the problem. The new leadership of F1 announced it started the initiative "Grid Kids" (children of the grid). Children will be selected by local motorsport clubs and will accompany and stand to pilots on the grid at every race.
"It will be an amazing experience for children - imagine how it to their characters, how they observe the preparations for the race, how close to the elite of the elite motorsport in the most exciting moments before the start," said Sean Bratches.
He added that this will remain an unforgettable memory for both children and their families. According to him, this initiative is the best way to inspire the next generation.
Children on the grid is already in Formula E, including last weekend in Chile.

I think it's best, like they said - imagine how the kids must feel to have the opportunity to see the races from behind the scenes and in the paddock. Similar to the football/soccer teams. Very good idea! @motorsport
