Developing and updating a title like Fortnite does not have to be easy at all. In addition to updates on a weekly basis, see here info on the latest update , and various criticisms from the Epic Games community is in fact finding itself facing a real crisis due to the cheaters on the Fortnite World Cup . Passano, however annoying, cheaters in normal games but when such unfair practices even arrive in official competitions then the problem is definitely big.

Epic Games has in fact rightly decided to take the hard line against these cheaters and, through an official statement , has announced that it has banned over a thousand players from Fortnite due to the use of incorrect techniques within the title World Cup .

1196 players , including 196 who also won monetary prizes during the competition, saw their account access blocked for 14 days for violating the region lock . Another 48 players were also banned for sharing their account and 8 for teaming up during a match. Finally, a player was excluded for life from the title of Epic Games due to the use of a cheat system.

All those who used these illegal Fortnite practices and were caught in the act rightly were forced to give up their monetary prize. If on the one hand this severity on the part of Epic Games is certainly good news for the competitive landscape of the battle-royale, on the other hand it is undeniable that the cheater problem is now rampant on Fortnite. For this reason the software house has announced that it is working on further mechanics in contrast to this phenomenon and has invited its community to report any infractions seen within the game.

Do you think Epic Games will be able to handle this small crisis or will the Fortnite World Cup go down in history only for the incredible number of cheaters in it?
