This past weekend I had the opportunity to visit where my Grandson works. Although he has told us some of what he does, he is a hard work and nice all round guy but a man of few words. The place I am talking about is
RTI in Trenton, Ontario.
Our grandson had done a tour through the plant when he was in school and last year was looking for a new job and decided to apply...WELL!! let me say best decision ever for him! After visiting this past weekend at their open house I can see why he loves working there. The staff is incredible! Knowledgeable and friendly.
RTI stands for Research Casting International and as stated earlier is in Trenton, Ontario. We have lived in the area for over 30 years and only when our grandson started working there have we heard about it. If you are in to fossils, dinosaurs and bones..this may be the place for you to explore next time they have an open house.
You can view their website at www. rescast.com. They work with museums all over the world and hope to open their own museum here in Trenton in the near future. One of the most interesting articles recently has been how they preserved the bones and heart of a great blue whale that died on the shore in Newfoundland..it was a 3 year process and they are still working on. You can find the video at
I have added some pics of my tour and wish I could name all the fossils but have to leave that up to my 5 year old great grandson who knows every dinosaur and what they eat...lol ..hope you enjoy this post and have a
Whale of a happy day!
