My Journey to Foster Care

in fostercare •  6 years ago  (edited)

As a child I grew up with a house full of extras , there was always someone needing a place to stay and my family were always ones to open their doors to those who needed it .
We were a family of five but quite often had up to 11 at the dinner table .
This shaped me forever.
It was loud , it was busy but it was always a beautiful mess !!
I saw the need back then and never stopped seeing the need , if you have something to give then give , a room , a meal , a safe place , unconditioned love , your heart , your soul 💕
I now am a foster carer and have been for 10 years , my partner and I have fostered 35 children so far ranging from newborns to teens and I will do this till the day i die it’s my purpose for living it’s my calling and I answered!! But that’s not to say it’s been easy at all , I have never been more challenged or more broken but I also have never felt more needed and more love ever , I have cried rivers and laughted till I can’t breathe it has been a journey.327B1089-DA76-4A9B-B8AE-0EA64C8C5513.jpeg
