Its been three year, since I have been on the slow carb diet and trying to healthy/active. The great thing about this diet is you can have a cheat day once per week. For me I like to take my cheat day on Saturday night after work and start fresh Sunday night during a twenty-four hour period. Which allows me to eat anything during that time and allows me to plan ahead and prepare my meals in advance to fit within my busy schedule. Such as working fifty hours a week, three days in the gym, along with being a part time college student on top of that. I have listed below the rules to this diet.
Follow these rules if you want to lose weight on the Slow-Carb Diet:
Stick to Slow-Carb Diet approved foods 6 days a week: lean meat, beans, and veggies and no white foods like sugar, pasta, rice, bread, cheese.
Eat the same few meals repeatably or meals made with the same ingredients, especially for breakfast and lunch. Plan your meals ahead of time to prevent any mistakes or having any temptation when eating.
Don’t drink calories, meaning no energy drinks, sodas, fruit juice, sports drinks like Gatorade, or beer. However you can have at least 1-2 glasses of red wine. Which is okay.
Start your day with protein, shooting for a bare minimum of 30g within 30 minutes of waking up after a good night sleep (this will boosts your success rate up by 11%).
Don’t eat fruit! Well tomatoes and avocados are allowed in moderation.
Finally.... Break all the rules and say fuck the rules. Then go crazy. Take one “cheat day” a week: Eat whatever you want on cheat days. Tim recommends Saturday for social purposes. But for me, I just do a twenty-four hour time period to get the best out of the weekend.
I also have a few links below that will go further into detail of slow carb diet.
