The Story of Sara
Sara, was a young woman from a village in the north of Ireland, was a very shy person, so she had no friends, so she liked to admire nature and be with animals, especially with owls as they are lonely beings like her. In their village it was customary that each first full moon of the year, the villagers made a ritual to the god Moloc, to which they offered their best fruits, vegetables and a couple of birds in sacrifices, to receive in exchange protection and provision of food for all year. Sara, never attended the ceremony because she did not believe in those rituals, however, that day her mother was very insistent that he accompany her to the celebration, when they arrived at the ritual, the whole town was waiting for them to arrive. Sara, did not imagine what was about to happen, the shaman of the village, seeing that there was a drought like never before had lived, decided to make a special contribution that year, sacrificing a young virgin of the village to the god Moloc so that it will remove the great drought that was bringing the death of animals and people of the town. The men of the village grabbed Sarah tightly, her mother cried but could not do anything about it, everyone watched with great expectation as the new sacrifice would be carried out. She understood that this would be her last day, she stayed calm, she just cried, seeing how some women from the village, selected some inks to paint her face, at that moment, the shaman prepared to sacrifice a pair of owls, it was indescribable the way owls saw so close to the fire began to make a shrill screaming for mercy, in that instant Sara, he realizes that his friends the owls were on the verge of death, suddenly and as miraculously, manages to remove forces from the depths of his being, and is released from the women who barely put a black dots under his eyes, runs to the shaman and with a force abysmal as of 5 men, he took from his hands the basket that contained to the beautiful birds, he hurries and rides on a horse that was as if waiting for him to choose him to save her from the terrible punishment, all the people were petrified to see such an incredible feat. The shaman forces five men to chase her, but from a very young age she entered the great forest, even hiding in the places that were forbidden by the villagers, because they believed that they were cursed by the gods. She took advantage of those stories and went into the forbidden place, so they did not want to follow her out of fear. Seeing that they were no longer pursuing her, she stopped in a cave, where she was able to rest and cry with the little birds, who expressed all the love and gratitude of having saved them from that horrible nightmare. She could feel the breeze of freedom in her face, felt that nature protected her from all evil, from that moment she decided that she would dedicate her life to taking care of the animals and the forest, and the forest adopted her as her daughter. Sometimes the villagers of the place say that although they have spent many centuries of this history, they still see her wandering through the forest protecting birds and wild animals, they say that they have even heard her cry, and there are days in those who sing beautiful songs or laugh as if running through the woods with the animals ...
