Sometimes things work out. This was one of those times. I had been struggling with parameters and lighting and was about to give up with mb3d for today. I took what I had into after effects, did some colour correction, added the ocean surface layer and surprised myself with how well it turned out.
Very interesting texture effects. All kinds of story possibilities could be sprouted just looking at it. ;)
