This is taken in Gascony, not far from d'Artagnan hometown. D'Artagnan dreams of being a musketeer and leaves his father farm to join up. At first he is not eligible to become a musketeer, but he forms a strong friendship with Athos, Porthos and Aramis, from which many films and recently a series has grown.

It is a great story. There is a huge statue in Auch to d'Artagnan, and in the town of Condom (very unfortunate name) there are statues to d'Artagnan, Athos, Porthos and Aramis.
It is a great place to go walking, but also has loads of mosquitoes at the moment!!!!
