Don't you think the title is exaggerated? Not to defend oracle-d, but, if the curation is done by a bot or something similar, you can simply report the user on the respective 3speak server (or by contacting one of its administrators in private).

It is not the first time that something like this happens with a project here and it has not been necessary to make a post saying that they abuse the amount of SP they have.

I have no doubt that you are doing an excellent job, but you are making a project look bad that has built a good reputation over time, oracle-d has done incredible initiatives before and, I am sure they will continue to do an incredible job.

No, I dont think its an exaggeration, it might even happen to be an understatement, since the title assumes this is not intentional.

It is irrelevant in this case how the curation is conducted, whats important here is that a project that supposedly onboards youtubers to steem has to verify them before starting to curate them, if that is not done it is clear and outright negligence, at least.

As said below we tried that before publishing this but didn't have access to that server or the admins at the time.

Well, in so far as we are concerned, and we have a lot of experience in antiabuse, this is the first time a project with Steemit delegation votes this many plagiarized post by the same user in a span of 2 months, please illustrate me if you know of any other case.

This is not about the amount of SP, and they don't actually have it, that's why its called a delegation, the issue is the stewardship of a large Steemit delegation such as this. Perhaps you dont think its necessary because your oracle-d writing assignment requires you not to... but yes, it is necessary to shine light on abuses of this magnitude and gravity.

We are not making Oracle-d look bad, the facts perhaps are, not to mention the response of the system admin shown in the post, which in all likelihood is the most honest of the ones we have received so far.

I understand your point, but I still don't see the abuse of their Steem delegation. Curation projects, big users, projects like OD (YooDoo currently) can make mistakes upvoting plagiarized posts and, if nobody reports them, they probably won't notice because there are more important things to develop. Don't get me wrong, the things they upvote are important too, but that's why we are a community, to HELP, not to make a post accusing of abuse and to publish private conversations

First of all: No, this is not the first time and I know that you have worked with such projects, I don't want to think that you are lying to me, but just think about it and now tell me if OD is really "abusing" the amount of SP they have (whether it is theirs or not, if it is "abuse" it would still be the same thing)

No Jaguar, that's not necessary. You know why? Because you're not seeing Steem as a community. You're just here to identify what's "wrong" and automatically want to show that it's wrong.

Everyone here knows that oracle-d has done a good job all this time, now it seems too stupid to say that they are "abusing" the amount of SP they have by upvoting a user who only plagiarizes, I don't think anyone with any sense would do that stupid thing. Is a post really necessary? Is it really necessary to publish private conversations? You're saying you don't make OD look bad, but why publish private conversations? What's the point?

In their defense, they did take action on the last one I reported but yes, def looks like the curation could be tightened up. I wouldn't necessarily characterize it as "abuse" but rather would suggest they could be better stewards of the delegating SteemPower.

I'm sure they will continue to take action to remedy this issue but it's good that you shine a light on the plagiarizing users!

Again, another example of poor journalistic integrity. It would have been better if you just came to our discord or telegram to point this out first so that we could explain our plans to rectify / improve the curation accuracy.

We will be putting in a verification process shortly to prove the user is who thy say they are. Currently we have one, but it is manual and behind schedule some times.

We will also be limiting the amount of upvotes that a user can receive each week.

Additionally, we hope we can work with you and others like you in a less hostile manner to find plagiarism. It is difficult to do this accurately in video format as opposed to text format.

That being said, you should be more responsible with your stake.

We did try going to your Discord server to report this but apparently were banned at that server, so I find your suggestion intellectually dishonest, hypocritical or uninformed.

If you werent able to verify not even the top 20 authors most rewarded by the platform.... then what can I say?. You should also adopt a process involving the use of common sense, since its selfevident 2 miles away the user is a fake.

I think the tone you are using here is highly inappropriate. It doesn't lend itself to a cooperative relationship. You always had access to DM me or the discord. Sorry if you disagree. The Walden account was banned from the oracle-d discord since we were blackmailed via this account, but the jaguar force account has always been able to contact me, and never tried until yesterday.

no excuse for not fighting and finding plagiarism. How many active members does 3Speak have and how many are consistent posters? If it's very few then it would follow the same people are getting votes and at the same time your analysis does bring up some valid points to look into further. Great detective work !

The same thing we tell people like @vancouverdining: if we find questionable stuff and you refuse to address it, then you are a piece of shit.

No shrugging. We are putting methods in place to improve this. So far we have used the stake to encourage large you tubers to post to steem. As we are growing, we need to adjust our curation system slightly so that these types of videos do it fall through the net

The ("creator"!!!!) in question is your number 20th most rewarded user in the last 2 months, if you were just to logically prioritize the verification in the order of reward volumes (as per having a top rewarded user be a scammer is way worse than a marginal user) you would have gotten to it pretty quick. I mean, how much work does it take to verify a user? we do it all the time, it takes less than 15 minutes of work per user, you could have verified your top 20 users by rewards in 5 hours of work. I understand that every part of VP you dont use of that generous delegation is money you lose in curation and in the 10% bene, and that so you have to vote something, and I think that considering the time it would have taken to make these verifications (5 hours max) it becomes very interesting to consider the potential reasons why they were not.

Is it perhaps that it is in your interest not only to vote something and not waste any VP but also give the appearance of voting quality content and that that is why these verification inadvertences happen?

in the last 31 days, so while you might not have time to check the 998, you certainly have time to check the top 20 and especially a user from whom you vote almost every single post....
