Chicago Rapper Fredo Santana Dies at 27

Fredo Santana, rapper and one of the pioneers of Chicago’s drill movement, has reportedly died at the age of 27.

TMZ reports that Santana died Friday night (Jan. 19) as the result of a seizure. No official statement from the rapper’s family or cause of death has yet been released.

Santana, born Derrick Coleman, suffered serious health problems throughout last year, and was hospitalized for liver and kidney failure in October. Houston rapper Maxo Kream was the first to break the news with an Instagram post, followed by close associates like Young Chop and Lil Durk.
