Hello everyone :)
Epic Game just released another free game. While this is good news, it unfortunately means the Slime Rancher offer I mentioned in an earlier post is no longer available. Make sure to get this one before April 4th, as it will no longer be available by then.

This game is apparently a supernatural thriller where you have a significant amount of control over what happens in the story. It sounds interesting, and looks like it might have some cool mechanics. If I'm not mistaken, it is a 2D side scrolling game. Hopefully it's quite good :)
Until next time,
Aloha

Oh, the platform wars are heating up... Epic vs Steam. I love steam, but I have Epic installed for some of the games that need it... I'm not so blindly loyal that I'll turn a free game though...

Honestly, it's very bad when you compare it to Steam. It offers virtually nothing beyond a launching system. Their store is not well detailed, there's no reviews, no minimum requirements or related games. Epic has a ton of work ahead of them to even have a small percentage of the functionality of Steam.
However, I'm not one to turn down free games, especially ones like Subnautica or Slime Rancher. I already owned Subnautica but multiple copies on different platforms sounds like safe redundancy to me.
I think the main reason Epic is trying to make a new platform is because devs dislike Steams fees, and are not working with it as much.

Yeah, tech support is supposedly lacking too... With people being linked back to the steam forums!
Steam has a huge lead, I hope they stay awake and don't squander it. The new Link anywhere is pretty damn awesome!

Yeah, I've heard that as well. You'd think Steam would be less receptive to that, but I'm glad they're not policing community support.
I hope so too, I'm quite fond of the platform. I've amassed quite a collection of free games on there haha. What do you mean by the new Link? Is there another Zelda game coming out I haven't heard about?

No, I meant the Steam link. It is the ability to stream your games from your computer to anything (even your phone!). Currently only on the same network, but soon to anywhere with an internet connection!

Whhhaaaa???!!! That is so awesome. I've not heard of it at all. I could definitely see a lot of people having desktop "servers" and playing while they're out doing things with that. Very cool :)
It does sort of remind me of the cloud based gaming services, where you can get access to substantial better hardware and stream the game, essentially. I've considered it, but it's too expensive. Maybe Steam will eventually launch similar services.

I use it at home (when it was actually a physical box) to pay games on my TV while my gaming computer was upstairs... Look at this, on a phone!

Well that's pretty awesome. I was going to ask how they managed controls on the phone. That looks a little clunky, how does it play?
Also, how do you get the fulltimebots? I checked them out, but wasn't entirely sure what the process was for that.
