VSDC video editor

This software is completely free for personal and commercial use with no watermarks or anything like that. But in recent editions they have added some additional features and if you want those, then you need to pay for it.
I have used this software fore 1 year and have learned some good things from it.

Shotcut

This is also recommended for editing videos. This software in addition to free, it's a open-source one. It is also available for windows, mac, and linux too.

Open Broadcaster Software

This is highly popular for live streams on websites like youtube. Similar to Shotcut, it's also free and opensource, because of being most popular among all screen casting softwares, there are good amount of plugins avilable for the OBS.

Freemake video converter

Freemake Video Converter is also a free one which does basic video editing app. The program can be used to convert between video formats, rip video DVDs, create photo slideshows and music visualizations. Freemake Video Converter supports all popular and rare non-protected formats: MP4, AVI, MKV, WMV, MP3, DVD, 3GP, SWF, FLV, HD, MOV, RM, QT, Divx ...

I used some of these, but now I have switched to camtasia.
I also know after effects and premiere pro. Camtasia is faster to work with basic video editing.
