Afterword

If I’ve learned one thing from all the interactions of my entire life, it is that there is a universality of the human experience. We all want to live peacefully. We all want fair treatment. We all want to be able to prosper. We all need freedom. We all need love. We all suffer under statism. Governments want us to identify as citizens, but we are much more than mere subjects of protection rackets.

About the Author

Adam Kokesh joined the US Marines at age 17 and volunteered for combat duty in Iraq in 2004. This critical experience showed him that war is a racket and led him to deeply question his most cherished statist beliefs. He first rose to fame as an anti-war activist before branching out into other areas, often taking action too risky for other activists. In 2010, he became an independent journalist as ADAM VS THE MAN. He has been arrested and gone to jail dozens of times standing up for his convictions. He began writing FREEDOM! while caged in Washington, DC. While he has inspired millions with his speeches, videos, and civil disobedience, his greatest contribution to the cause of freedom is the concept of localization as a way to overcome statism and achieving a free world. This concludes the posting of each chapter of my book to Steemit and the blockchain, I hope you have enjoyed this series and would consider sharing the book with friends, family, and your community!

we want freedom !

Excellent your post. Resteemit done dear.

I am not from the US but i admire your bravery.. Keep up the good work.

freedom is mostly crusal part of writing. indeen you are awesome keep writing as you wish.

@adamkokesh's story is one I would read over and over again.. Always new each time I read it. Few people have got their names written in the books of history for standing with their word which rhymed with the freedom of the people irrespective of the negative influences to stop them.. And Nelson Mandela is one of them. It took him more than 25years of sacrifice to liberate the people of South Africa to freedom.. @adamkokesh has gone through what many of these great people went through to give the people freedom. A fight which I believe started with the anti-war activism. Nothing has stopped him; the arrests, the threats.. This is key to the freedom we the people shall be having in the future. Our fight will yield the free society that will give everyone the right to freely express himself. The governments have got no power to stop the people that will join hands in this fight. Let's come together to support this huge cause. Their is huge power in numbers.

Just found you on Steemit, fantastic! I have been watching you get arrested for years under increasingly absurd circumstances. You are over the target. I am working on a lengthier series entitled "Towards Voluntaryism" that seeks to treat education, government and the economy. It might interest you. Cheers!

Keep fighting for your rights because it right not exercised is a right that will disappear.

Couldn’t agree more . Good point .

They cannot bury you! They cannot take your voice. You're the voice of freedom echoing from the mountains. Soon they will here and come to you. You are extraordinary. Keep the fire burning!

Great post and very useful

Hi Adam,
I'm a vet and have a question for you about that.
re:

This critical experience showed him (you) that war is a racket and led him (you) to deeply question his (your) most cherished statist beliefs.

  • I've seen a lot of vets really struggle with being a vet after they find out "war is a racket."
    • Knowing that takes away the feelings of honor and valor most felt when serving.
      • IMHO, Just because "they" lied to us to get us to serve, doesn't mean we served with any less honor or valor.
  • On the other hand, there are those who served for their own self-interest and could care less about war being a racket. They just want to play war video games in real life.

I personally do not regret my decision to serve.

  • I received some great training, met some great people, saw parts of the world I never could have.
    • I do regret a bit that my service really didn't have anything to do with national security. Meaning we would have been just as secure without me or the sub I served on. As I see no direct threat to our nation that was thwarted by us being out there doing our thing...
      • "They" tell us we "won the cold war" (I served around 1980ish) but that pretty much was just another made up dragon "they" created to get guys and gals like you and me to "serve."

Do you have any message for the vets?

  • there is a vet group here on Steemit who use a discord channel ran by @guiltyparties. You can message him for a link to the discord server, if you ever want to chat a bit with veterans...

I very much appreciate work @adamkokesh
though he should be arrested and jailed dozens of times to defend his beliefs. In writing the FREEDOM!. I belong to one of the millions of people who already were contributions by @adamkokesh
on freedom is the concept of localization as a way to overcome statisme and reach the free world.
We all want to live peacefully.
We all want fair treatment.
We all want to be prosperous.
We all need freedom.
We all need love.
We all suffer under statism in the political thought of making the country as the center of all power. The State is the axis that drives the entire political elements in of a rational tangle, which are strictly controlled by using the instruments of power, hence the country's community has always oppressed and cannot be free to do (indeed a pity)
I will invite my friends to contribute together @adamkokesh and will share with the shout ** LET'S STRIVE FOR FREEDOM **

I listened to the audio book on dtube, first 50 minutes or so, then dtube crapped out. Will come back to consume the rest of it...

Succes with your peaceful Crusade.

you may find some battle music on the subject in mu dsound channel. ;-)
