facepalm.

I used to believe this crap for a little while when I was a teen. Luckily I realized that just claiming to be free doesn't make you a "sovereign". That's a really nice idea and all, but if you were truly a sovereign, you wouldn't be living in another country paying taxes needing to listen to the police. You're only actually free if you have the power to defend that freedom for yourself or no one challenges that freedom. You need to face reality and accept the fact that you live in this system, and you're not a sovereign. You are just like all of us.

I get you want to live a great life, but look at it this way. We as human beings need each other, the system that is currently in place is here because it was the best method we had at some point to deal with the problems at hand. If you don't like the way things are, don't run away from society and declare yourself a "sovereign". Instead, use your energy to create an even better future.

So how do we create a better future? The way to destroy an old system you don't like is to build a better one and disrupt it. Blockchain is in the process of destroying the old banking system. However, there's no guarantee blockchain will be any less corrupt than the old system, because blockchain is just a tool. It's up to how those who create and defend this system to act in the interest of others and not just themselves. So, if you want a brighter future, do everything you can to gain power and influence, and then use that power and influence to benefit the common person.

The problem is "power and influence." Psychopaths and sociopaths are attracted to positions of power - politicians, cops, military, judges, and others - where they are able to impose their views and values on others, and coerce others to conform with their plans.
