Abandon the Tech Giants

in freedom •  7 years ago

I wanted to take today and thank God for steemit. Google, Twitter, Youtube and Facebook are all doing everything they can to censor and ban conservative views. Facebook just banned Diamond and Silk for being 'unsafe to the community.' I'm not sure if you've heard of Diamond and Silk, but they are two black women with hilarious and insightful conservative views who came to fame during the 2016 election cycle. All conservatives are in danger of being shadow banned or outright banned by the big tech companies. I'm sure since I like to spread Christianity and promote prayer I would be banned if I tried to build a following with the tech giants.

I think all conservatives should abandon the tech giants and come on over to steemit. Let them have their liberal echo chambers. Maybe you can urge your friends and favorite YouTubers to come on over and start building a steemit following. I know Facebook is popular, but it just isn't worth your time since they will ban you and they are mining your data to make it easy for hackers and identity thieves. It is also so easy to use a different search engine other than Google.

God Bless You and your steemit efforts and down with the over-bloated tech giants.

The Grim Reaper Preacher says, "Try reading the Bible from cover to cover - you'll like it."

Nice post!!

How sad that this is happening, we should put together a team worldwide where you can feel our voices and not be silent about such a situation.

Facebook is popular, but it just isn't worth your time since they will ban you and they are mining your data to make it easy for hackers and identity thieves.

The truth is bitter! Facebook sucks! It sucks almost everything it can afford to suck from you, ranging from time, money, data to intellectual content...

In spite of this, I think many still enjoy it that way. Just as there are different customers when it comes to selling; we have the early adopters who are flexible to adopt change, as well as those who apparently will never change their minds to something positive, and when eventually they do so, it will be around the late hour— when it's almost end of Showtime. (smiling!)

Sincerely, steemit is a great platform.
@deathlyhorror thanks for sharing this truth.

Since I met steemit my life has changed, I love this platform and I think that those who are faithful in the little God will put them in a lot, facebook every day comes down while steemit goes way to the heights

Greetings, nowadays society promotes things that do not please God, promotes everything that apparently amuses people, precisely because it is what the enemy wants to make them believe and conservatives show us how boring the annoying, but we know that our fight is not against blood or flesh, it is simply the enemy attacking even in the least because it does not suit him that the cristianimos is promoted on a large scale, much less retaining the essence of it. So we have to fight so that we can go very far and very high and we can be seen and heard in large dimensions, trusting in our Lord who helps us win all the battles. God bless you.

It's already happening but I wish it'd happen faster. Conservatives need to look out for themselves more. Let's build our own platforms since we're obviously not welcome on mainstream liberal media

Hello @deathlyhorror, I have a Facebook user, but after I met Steemit I do not even use it anymore, because not everything that is shared and published contributes something for building. instead, in steemit, for example I follow you, I read you, I comment and you contribute to the knowledge in particular about the word of God, it is a common theme and I am passionate because I am a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, thanks and blessings!

It is true, the word of God is for many unimportant, written this: 1 Corinthians 1: 18-23

Christ, power and wisdom of God
18 For the word of the cross is folly to those who are lost; but to those who are saved, that is, to us, it is the power of God.

19 For it is written:
Destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And I will discard the understanding of the experts.

20 Where is the sage? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God maddened the wisdom of the world?

21 For since in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God to save believers by the foolishness of preaching.

22 For the Jews ask for signs, and the Greeks seek wisdom;

23 but we preach a crucified Christ, for the old ones freely stumble, and for Gentiles foolishness;

therefore we are blessed brother because we have believed that Jesus is the son of God: Hallelujah !!

Ya, the word of God is not welcomed on Facebook - we would be banned.

nice update.... true talk,

Lovely write up
One thing I love about steemit is that you can only get flagged and not being ban unlike facebook and co
We should try to enlighten those around us about steemit

Regardless, depending on which angle we look at, if we look positive then the results are positive, and vice versa

good post. Upvote for You Gandalf:)

Hi. What does conservative mean here? Is this in an American context? Does it mean Republican? Or right-wing? Or something else?

Forgive me if I sound stupid but I prefer to ask rather than wonder and not know.

I have never encountered any opposition to my faith on Facebook and do a lot of sharing with members of our church on it. Our services are on Facebook Live every Sunday and our audience is growing.

However, this is small-scale and casual. No idea how we would be treated if we were a big player.

My questions are that of a novice and most probably as an outsider to the American context. Ignore me if I'm too far removed from your reality. Or, if possible, please educate me.

I havent used the Facebook app in years. It uses too much phone battery and was doing funky background stuff then.

nice post
