FreedomCoop the cooperative beyond borders is live!

 Is a pleasure to announce the launch of Freedom Coop‘s early beta. 

As part of the FairCoop vision of building an autonomous ecosystem beyond State and capitalism, Freedom Coop is a project based around a European Cooperative Society(SCE) which creates toolkits for self-management, self-employment, economic autonomy and financial disobedience for all individuals and groups striving for fairer, more solidary and cooperative social and economic relationships.

You can now register as a member and contribute inspiring projects so that we can make them all possible through open collaboration.   

And then you can fly with us, beyond borders. 

The members of Freedom Coop will be able to develop self-employed activities through the SCE’s legal framework. Individuals, groups or small cooperatives – can minimize their interaction with nation states where employment and administrative issues are concerned, and focus on the really important things – their profession and developing their projects. 

Freedom Coop offers the following to its members:  

• The use of a shared ID number for tax purposes, so you can write invoices and make purchases. The issued invoices are subject to VAT -only when are inside same country-, and do not constitute personal income tax because “a legal personality” issues the invoices and not an individual.    
• Freedom Coop handles accounting with fiscal authorities.    
• An easy, fast and simple procedure for starting and then carrying out your self-employed activity.    
• An alternative banking services toolkit for any individual or group regardless of their legal status or financial solvency.    
• The OCP is the key organizational tool we offer to individuals, collectives, and management inside Freedom Coop.  You can Boost open collaborative projects between people in different places, manage open collective projects and their members by setting up task forces and account the time spent by every member to use it as a base of income  distribution and a way of self-actualization for any project.
• A broad assortment of resources and tools for Freedom Coop members (such as FairCoop, FairMarket or FairCoin) to connect those who wish to carry out their activities in Europe, regardless of their country of origin and support these activities.    

Still being an European Cooperative there are two ways in which Freedom Coop can help projects in other continents. Firstly, in the case of projects that are produced online – or without a public physical activity-, you could use the European Cooperative’s legal personality for invoicing as if you were in Europe. Secondly, you could be interested in selling your goods and services in Europe and join Freedom Coop to make it easier to have a relationship with your european clients. 

FreedomCoop is a specially appropiated for people without legal rights to work or to have a bank account in a specific country where they stay, because it give them some facilities based in the coop membership options. So, assylum seekers, refugeers,  travellers, would be very welcome!

FreedomCoop also intends to make a step forwards in creating an economic and financial alternative, by using FairCoin for the membership fee, for the quarterly fees, and for transactions between members. In this way, we expand the use of this currency and help the entire system to grow. 

You will also be able to use many other tools that FairCoop puts at your disposal: With FairMarket you can make your products and services available in this alternative economy. With each of these tools, this new system becomes stronger step by step. With the launch of this “early beta” we hope that the projects interested in joining will register and walk side by side with us, supporting the development of this tool, and of all it’s potential.
