Freedom by definition: “the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint”
Are we free? Can we be free? Is anyone free? What is freedom? Is freedom an experience or I-am state of being?
We all look for freedom when we perceive limitation. I devoted much passion and time on projects that might bring my definition of freedom to me, until it was clear that freedom isn’t about finding; it’s about releasing! “Freedom’s just another word for nothin’ left to lose.” Janis Joplin
Freedom is a state of being. We can’t do freedom. We can experience freedom (be) when we choose to let go of control and begin to experience without judgement and expectation.
We must simply release ourselves to the moment that is now and accept each now experience for what it is; life experiences that come and go.
Freedom is only a perception, as is not being free. The overarching free-choice state-of-being of love, fear or neutrality determines whether or not we can perceive and experience freedom. With this understanding we can be free, if we can let go of fear and expectation.
Imagine freedom being the opposite of what we think it is; releasing control of the illusion of control, and embracing the experience of life in it’s natural flow.
