Heres another view, how about the freedom to live without being shot, in school, in a cinema, in a club, anywhere. Freedom to live without a gun, in peace.

@scaurus5, whilst it's clear you have good intentions and a good heart, handing over guns to the government (the biggest mass murderer in human history) is not a solution to gun violence. Read @markeverlasting's comment above about government genocide.

If you want the people to be disarmed, do you still want the government and military to keep their guns?

Let me ask you, if a group of men were violently gang raping a woman, and someone offered you a gun, would you shoot the rapists?

Another one: If a foreign army invaded your country, would you want the military to use guns to defend your homeland?

How about the freedom to live without being stabbed or being hit by a car

Unfortunately the fact that guns exist make this utopian dream unattainable. Not to mention people who want to do the most harm will find a way to do so. It's not a matter of the weapons we have access to. It's a matter of what drives those individuals to act upon those heinous urges.
