10 Years ago I stumbled into "Speaker's Corner" in central London - having just taken my first ever drink of "magic mushrooms" - not only did I experience the gentle, natural trip from the shrooms for the first time that day, but by chance I also stumbled into Danny Shine there too. Several years later, also by "chance" I went on a road trip with his partner from 'the love police' Charlie Veitch too (It's a long story!) - I Still watch Danny on Youtube and today I saw him talking about Steemit and the possibility of him leaving Youtube for Steemit...
The Love Police?
This was the name that Danny and Charlie gave themselves as they moved around Britain, filming themselves disrupting normal reality with megaphones - cutting through the lies and denial of our 'political systems' and just stating messages that went some way to breaking apart the mass delusion of mind control that often passes for 'common sense' here.
They did this for a few months.. Charlie went on TV, publicly changed his position on the inside job of 911 - took a lot of flack - was exposed as possibly being some kind of disinfo agent and that was that.
Danny Shine
Danny, however, has never really attracted any negative publicity for being outside of integrity and I feel he has a good understanding of how to bring about balance psychologically and spiritually in such an imbalanced world. Here he is being interviewed by Dan Dicks of @pressfortruth at Anarchopulco:
I particularly like Danny's videos from inside supermarkets and shopping centres where 'security teams' attempt to intimidate him into silence as he talks loudly and speaks messages regarding the criminal and unethical behaviour of large corporations. :)

Today he discussed with his audience the possibility of relocating onto Steemit - Maybe you can listen to him and leave him a nice warming, welcoming comment under his video on youtube? ;)

Always enjoyed Danny's content, i was at the student protests in London when Charlie was there, didn't get to meet him as there was just so many people surrounding him but really enjoyed both of these guys video's over the years.

Aha, ok - I met Charlie unexpectedly on a road trip to Stonehenge via another friend who knew him. We got on OK, though I shared the feeling that Danny described in his interview with Press For Truth. It would certainly be an asset for Steemit to have Danny promoting it :)

maybe Danny's experience will be different. (well not maybe, Danny's experience will be different, from mine at the very least) but I think he will find that on steemit whether your content is seen (and/or remunerated) still depends on a small group of people.

It is possible to use steemit as part of a group just by using a specific keyword/tag and so if you do that then you can at least know that your content will be seen by your target audience (as long as they search for the same tag). Steemit isn't perfect, but at least it isn't censored and controlled blatantly by people who almost certainly don't share the same ideals as you!

can someone explain to me in terms that i might understand how all of this steam/money thing is meant to work ??
my gut feeling is that it is ultimately cheapening a persons ability to value content on its own terms - like selling sex..
and that is before suspecting that the whole thing is just one great big and very elaborate ponzi scheme ??
