This is so sad! I'm praying for you and your beautiful country! I visited there a couple decades ago when I was about 10. We went to a beautiful island called Margarita. My conclusion to your article is that the government is NOT a friend of the people and serves to keep itself rich and in existence... I fear this will happen and IS HAPPENING in America also. Our country is +$20 trillion in public debt and the politicians and elites are the ones getting richer, while the people have fewer and fewer opportunities. Future generations are being indebted to pay back a quality of life they weren't able to enjoy! Also, our schools are indebting students with massive student loans - it is a travesty really but people are either unwilling or unable to see what is going on.
