Coconut
Yes, it's a lovely flavour, especially in a glaze for chicken. Coconut trees on a beach look so exotic too, but what I think of are coconut shies.
I don't see them at fairs and fetes anymore. The game of hurling a ball at the coconuts with the hope of knocking them off their pedestals is still there but other things are used nowadays instead of coconuts.
My dad enjoyed the old-style coconuts shies so much. He walloped that ball at the coconuts, spinning it like a cricket bowler. His face went red and he sweated buckets as he determined to win. I am pleased to say he often did.
That's how I got my first taste of coconut milk. Mmm, lovely!
I had never heard of Coconut Shies; in Idaho we threw balls at milk bottles. Thanks for your #Freewrite. Keep it up! The latest prompt in the daily #Freewrite is "describe a bird": https://steemit.com/freewrite/@mariannewest/day-168-5-minute-freewrite-wednesday-prompt-describe-a-bird
