Start

I opened my mouth as the gust of wind from the turbines were going on. And at last, after a few moments I had my hair completely destroyed.

"You ok Ash?" Dad asked,

"Yep," Was all that I could answer back. "These things are working just fine pops."

"They better, otherwise I'd have to redo this all over again." Dad murmured.

"Well, this may be complex pops, but you got a aeroplane mechanic at your side." I reassured.

"Wait what? You didn't study aerodynamics." Dad cocked an eyebrow at me.

Oh yeah, well. Gotta ake a good excuse.

"Uhhmm, I meant. Dan." I blurted out.

"The plumber?" Dad's eyes were already going to pop out.

"Uhh, no. The. Barber?" I asked completely confused.

"Uhhmm, ok. But have you noticed this conversation ain't going nowhere kid?" Dad smirked at me.

He's found me out!

"Well, you see dad. Understandin' aerodynamics is as easy as one two three." I started out.

Dad was just staring at me, nodding while brushing his foot-long beard.

"It's a good thing that we Hammicks don't understand people for a living, cause that's way harder." I suddenly said.

Keep it together boi.

"You see, understanding people, is as hard as trying to smell the color of letter nine." I finished, quoting a meme a read not so long ago.

What did I just say?

"What?" My dad said.

"What?" I said back.

This is gonna be a long conversation.

End

And this is my entry for today's freewrite challenge prompt: Turbine. After stalking some people and checking out their works, I noticed that some freewrites are actually like a story. Or like, a conversation with the settings and stuff. I haven't been posting for the last two days ago because due to my body capacity was not feeling quite satisfied at that moment (I got sick). But don't worry, here I am and ready to continue the steemit journey! Anyways, I'd like those who were continuously supported me and are still supporting me until now! Hopefully I could repay all of your kindness!
