Today's prompt: sunburn

The honeymoon

What have I done? Cherise is looking at herself in the mirror. She had sunburn all over. I should have thought to use the sunscreen. What will Richard say? This would have been the first night of their honeymoon. Last night after the wedding and the reception, she was so tired and she fell asleep before they could even make love. She got all ready, took a bath and put on her sexy negligee and was just waiting for Richard to finish showering. This morning she waked up and realise she must have fallen asleep and Richard just left her to sleep. So now tonight would have been the big night but I am hot and burning all over, I might have sunstroke. What would her bridegroom think? Her thoughts are running wild, he is going to think that she is avoiding to make love to him for the first time.

Richard comes into the room. Oh, no Honey you look terrible. What was I thinking letting us lie in the sun the entire day? Let me help you. Loving and tenderly he helps her undress. Very careful to not touch her too hard and hurt her. Come my love, come lie down and I will put on for you some cooling gel. I lie down on the bed, so very disappointed, I feel a single tear roll down my cheek. No need to cry my love, I hear Richard saying. But I am so disappointed, we would not be able to make love tonight. You must think that I don’t want to make love with you. Shhh my baby, he says bringing his head down, our eyes fixed into each other’s and I feel his lips touching mine so tenderly, softly I hear him say, all is well. We have our whole life ahead of us.
