Sam took two ibuprofen for her back pain. She laid down on the chaise lounge next to her sliding glass door and fell asleep. She wanted to be free of back pain.

Tomorrow I begin my camping trip. That means most posts will be photo dumps. I hope you enjoy photo dumps.

I'll be sleeping on the ground. That will cause back pain.

Hey. Hay. Hey. Hey cabbage. Are you tasty?

Back pain back pain. Rain rain.. Like, it's in my bones, I can feel it's going to rain. I deign to alert you to me back pain.

Jane was a mainstream lane painter. She painted lanes like it was popular to do. But she was also an underground graffiti artist, so after a day of driving that big truck that paints the lines on the roads, she and her band of... hooligans... roamed the streets of Los Angeles with their paint cans and spray paint bottles, and made beautiful murals. Some murals were commissioned... IN fact, lots, but that's not what Jane did, she painted everywhere, without care for whether she was allowed.

Sam saw Jane painting the fence in the alleyway from where she lay on her chaise lounge. She wanted that.

She crawled out of the chair, crawled across the floor to the sliding glass door, effortfully pushed it... painfully. other words that mean it hurt and was difficult. then pulled herself across her back yard aloe vera and other succulent drought resistant lawn, which hurt a little, but not compared to her back pain flaring up without regard for her ibuprofen, and finally arrived where Jane was.

this is beautiful. You show so much in relatively few words. Wonderful imagery.

Photo dumps can be fun, especially of a camping trip! (Are you like me where you look through your pics after a trip and realize that you have 25 or 30 photos of the same rock and only 1 of yourself?) I hope that you have a wonderful time (and that your back isn't twisted six ways from Sunday after sleeping on the ground). Don't suppose you have a comfy bed of nails that you can bring to sleep on? 😉

I liked how Jane inspired Sam to move despite the pain. Hopefully now, Sam can paint some graffiti of her own. Your story made me think of this article I had read about using art for pain management and treatment. Certainly not a new idea, most know that art can be therapeutic on many levels, but it was a good read.
