Hep, the coolest of all the cats, was a ballet dancer before he accidentally put his foot through a cello. No one would hire him after that. He tried and tried to demonstrate that it was a fluke, but they thought that meant the next thing he would do is kick a flute, and a flute fluke wasn't something any of them was willing to risk. The big THEM in this circumstance is the dance captains, choreographers, artistic directors and various other dance troupe leaders in charge of making hiring decisions for their companies.
