Hello all, i happen to be participating in the 5 minutes freewrite hosted by @mariannewest. The prompt for today is Scratch.
It was a bright Monday morning for Anita. She was so excited to start a new term with a new uniform and new hair style. She was also excited to see her friends and tell them stories from her holiday experience.
Anita’s mother dropped her early in school that morning and she had enough time to mingle with her friends before the school’s assembly. Izu was the first person she came across with, which happen to be her seatmate in class. Immediately she saw him, she noticed some rashes on his face. When asked what happened to his face, Izu said it was just minor heat rashes. The rashes really looked bad though but that didn’t stop Anita from playing and chatting with her seatmate till they got to their classroom to drop their backpacks.
The next day, Izu happened to be absent from school. Anita was not really bothered about Izu’s absence until she began to notice similar rashes on her body, which she saw on his body the previous day. These rashes made her scratch throughout her class periods. It was not normal. Its not as if she rubbed Devil’s bean on herself. She had to report to her class teacher who later sent her to the school’s clinic. It was confirmed that she had contacted chicken pox. She was told not to scratch the rashes or else she wouldn’t get better.
The school management sent for her mother immediately and was given a pass to leave school early. She was also given some drugs and asked to shower immediately she gets home and also had to avoid contacts with other persons……most importantly she was asked not to SCRATCH!
