The only thing that comes to mind is the Golden Fleece, Jason, Medea, and Argonauts.

Golden Fleece

In that regard, I remember one cute, not a well-known story that I'd like to share.

Everybody remember that Hercules also went along with Argonauts, but somehow was left on some island. Then Argonauts continued their uneasy way to Colchis but what happened with Hercules isn't very clear.

Except in another Greek legend about Prometheus Hercules frees the hero who was chained to a cliff in the Caucasus mountain allowing the eagle to feed on his nutritious liver.

Hercules frees Prometheus

And so what happened after that? No one seems to know. Yet, I read a book, where the author expresses an interesting hypothesis.

What happened next was that Hercules took Prometheus with him to Mikenas. At first people in the city were really scared of the titan. But Prometheus wasn't scary or unpredictable like Zeus, who threw lightning if he was angry, or like Apollo who once skinned a person alive when he turned out to be a better flute player. )))

Prometheus was benevolent and just wanted to help people. As a result, people stopped giving a shit about that "overgrown idiot." In fact, in entire Greece, there wasn't even one the temple that celebrated Prometheus. So much for people's thankfulness.

And since the life of the titans was maintained by eating ambrosia and drinking nectar, once deprived of this Prometheus eventually died like any other poor bastard in Mikenas. )))

Which goes to show that human nature never changes. The meek shall always and forever inherit the shit.

Really. The rulers should throw lightning if they want to be remembered. Who remembers Henry VI? But everyone knows about Henry VIII. )))

Yes indeed. We tend to remember those we fear.

It’s the Wednesday prompt delivery team here with the challenge for today:
