Procrastination as we probably all know, is the greatest adversary of success. There is a lot of reasons why people procrastinate, especially in their place of work. It could be lack of willpower or motivation, difficulty with time management, the task at hand is boring, unpleasant or hard.
Researchers say that the best means to get ''inspired'' is to walk away. Someone might be thinking, what if it becomes to difficult to boss up yourself around and bring yourself to concentrate no matter what you do and tell yourself for motivation? If you have an assignment that needs to be done and projects that need to be accomplished everyday, conceivably you need to be aware of what causes your procrastination and how to approach them. Principally you can turn the situation around and use your procrastination as a means of productivity and an instrument for success.
Some few tips bellow can help you get back to work, achieve your goal, and feel happier about yourself.
Procrastinate in a smart way
Procrastination isn't really as bad as it sounds if only you are smart about it. You can procrastinate completely by using what psychologists call ''Fabricated procrastination''. When you have a burdensome task that really needs your attention but you can't just shroud your head around it, you can twist to to easier and smaller tasks that you can finish swiftly and mindlessly. This way, you will be capable to organize your thoughts more and plan your briskness as you tick off boxes one by one. After that, you will still be able to feel the adrenaline and desire to do more, making you ready for the messier one you overlooked a while ago.
Set boundaries to manage your time
You know very well that you can't put off burdensome tasks forever and you do not always have time for '' fabricated procrastination'' . What if your margin is already a couple of hours ahead but you still don't have the power and spark to make you start moving? You can try to specify a plan and assign a few hours or even less. Nevertheless working in a highly demanding nature grants some people to focus more, apart from getting things done, this procedure also enables you to exercise your self-discipline, which is very crucial in time management. Because after all, diamonds are made out of pressure.
Reward yourself when you reach a goal
Motivation is sometimes, if not most of the time, difficult to come by in the workplace especially if you are doing the same thing everyday or your boss is too exiguous on compliments on a job well done.
You can also plan small rewards throughout your day like getting your best-loved blueberry cheesecake together with your coffee. Booking a romantic dinner for you and your special someone at a restaurant on Saturday night and probably planning on how to spend the rest of the weekend together might help you finish your work swiftly even before the Friday comes. For this reason you do not have to wait for other people to push and motivate you.
