5 Minute Freewrite: Saturday - Prompt: splinter

For those of you that have never played Steem Monsters allow me to give you a quick overview. The game has seven teams or as it is called in the game, splinters. The seven splinters are life, death, earth, water, fire, dragon, and neutral. When you play each game you choose one of the six non-neutral splinters to utilize. Monsters from the neutral splinter can also be selected to fight with your team. That is it in a nutshell. The great aspect of this game is that you do not have to wager any money unless you enter a tournament that has an entry fee. So I see it as more like collecting than gambling. Each card has a nicely written little history or "lore" that you can read up on and each monster has its own specific powers and abilities. I think that the most exciting part of this game is that you can earn new monsters simply by playing. If you are not that interested in the game you can sell the new monsters immediately and just use the Steem that is earned to power up your Steemit account. What a fun way to increase your Steem power! I highly recommend that you check it out.
