DAILY PROMPT: LENTIL SOUP
Far from having lentil soup, tonight I've decided to splurge. We mostly eat at home. It's cheaper, healthier and well our bodies need real food. It doesn't mean I dont have a little pizza from time to time. I like the thin crust the best and I'm quite plain. I like just cheese but would eat it almost any way. Except two. There are two styles, flavors, whatevers of pizza I just cannot tolerate.
Firstis Hawaiian Pizza. I have never been a fan of melted cheese and sweet tropical fruit. To me maybe a flatbread style with a twist in type of cheese would make it better. Like instead of mozzarella, maybe something that goes better fruit, like brie, some smoked shallots and a nice garlic spread. To sit there and put tomatoe sauce, mozzarella cheese and pineapple on a pizza is just a hideous idea. Unless maybe I'm really, really hungry
The second kind of pizza I just cannot wrap my taste buds around is BBQ style pizza. Now with all fairness I'm not a big fan of heavy BBQ sauce foods. Like I much prefera nice dry rub and dip my Baby Back Ribs in the sauce. Oh my god am I hungry or what? Haaa but I just think the cheese and intensity of the sauce should be different on a pizza. Like why now put spices that bring in the essence of the flavor, rather than slipping BBQ sauce and mozzarella cheese.
We just had good ole regular thin crust Little Caesar's Pizza. It was actually pretty good. I remember the pizza being kinda blah there. Maybe they revamped some food quality choices. These restaurants keep better cheaper and cheaper cheese. You end up having grounded wood and meal worm pulp and 10 % cheese. Haaa. Yea gross.
In any rate I've been resting and saving all and most my energy for these kids. Hes so good. I'm hoping this Januarywhen auditions take place, that he will be ready. He goes to a great Magnet School and has the chance to attend Las Vegas Academy of Arts. Great opportunity for him. I've done some growing in the past few weeks. I'm far from perfect but I'm realizing that my time and energy must be for them, then the rest is extra. What did you guys do today?
