Day 478: 5 Minute Freewrite: Sunday - Prompt: pig's ear
The pig's ear
He was very particular about the facial features. Every prospective bride he 'looked' at seemed to have some fault or another. Either the lady's eyes were small or her nose was long. He found fault with all and rejected all applications. Well, that is how arranged marriages usually work. Boy goes to girl's house, looks her over, rejects her and walks out. Strange? Yes, especially if you are unaware of such customs.
Coming back to him, he finally settled for a girl. She had beautiful hair. She had beautiful facial features but everyone who attended the wedding whispered that she had pig's ears
He had made a pig's ear out of this whole business of selecting the 'perfect bride'
