Excuses

I excuse myself for not having wisdom prior to experience.
I excuse myself for believing I need to be perfect in order to be loved.
I excuse myself for believing I don't have the power to change my life, and thus, my experiences in life.
I excuse myself for having fear, anger, grief, pain and shame.
I excuse myself for feeling insecure, vulnerable and for having judged myself to be stupid, inept, innately bad and wrong.

I excuse myself for desiring enduring love and passion.

And I release all judgments against myself for all time.

Excusing oneself, not from responsibility but, rather, into responsibility - that is, the ability to respond - to feel one's experiences - to author one's experiences - to own one's involvement - to update one's neurological "hard" and "soft ware" - to excuse oneself into personal responsibility is one of the more self empowering aspects of life I have discovered.

To claim responsibility, vulnerability and insecurity as a means to evolve one's life, is, I've found, to be one of life's greatest gifts.

I'm grateful to find this to be true for myself as I learn to live life without apology, (I used to apologize for myself no less that 50 times a day - that's no exaggeration, and that sad state of affair has encompassed the vast majority of my life).

(Oh yes, and I excuse myself for farting and stinking up the whole room.)
