The intensity at which the sun shone for the past 2 months has been unbearable. The heat is insufferable. Coupled with the fact that its a country with no stable electricity... Ok, its horrible.
I don't know if this is how the climate mitigation/global warming affects us,but if it is, it's beating us hands down. It had started with a state in the country experiencing tremors late last year. There were rumours of earthquake. But, Nigeria was said to be out of the geographical zone where earthquake was to occur. After the tremor, news were flying around about change in climate and how we might not be so lucky to stick to the old verdict in which we aren't suppose to experience earthquake. Apparently, now ,we are to put that into consideration cause anything might happen with climate mitigation.
Luckily we had just few tremors and nothing else. Now it's the sun. Although, I learnt in school that the Earth is the third planet to the sun, but recently I feel the Earth has been moved directly to the front of the sun, with Nigeria being the shield to other countries😁😁. It's hotttttt. Really hot. I have never heard people pray for rain this much. We needed the shower badly. Unfortunately, No rain.
But, today is a good day. It rained. It's cold. I am on my bed cozying up under my duvet, sipping on a wine and re- watching some episodes of Game of thrones. April 14 is almost here😉🍸. I will Enjoy today. I know the sun would here tomorrow
