Maxine lost her fight against lymphoma today, we wanted her to live forever, but it was not to be.
I never knew how hard it would be to put down a beloved pet. Last time I wasn't in the room, holding Kohl.
It hasn't sunk in yet, I'm still watching for her to come around the corner, and jump in my lap.
She was definitely too young to pass from such a horrible disease, eight years was just not enough time.
Rest in Peace Max, you will truly be missed. 😭

My dog, Angel has been sick all of this year and will soon have to leave our lives too and I am putting off, trying to prepare myself for something that one cannot really prepare for.
She was lucky to have you and all of your love and care.

I'm sad to hear that your little Max passed on. She was beautiful and the photo where her head is in the sneaker is too cute! She was lucky to have the two of you to give her love and a home through her life.
It takes a while to get used to our beloved pets being around anymore. Years ago, I came home with food for my tortie, Piper, before I remembered that she didn't need it anymore. Some of my friends have done similar things after their pets have passed on.
A hug to you and I hope that the happy memories of Max will bring comfort to the both of you.

It's never easy to loose a love one... And your Maxime is absolutely a cute kitten 😻❤️
I lost my Elvis a year ago and he had never been sick and suddenly one day he wasn't eating and a week later he was gone... I was not ready for that. But I was blessed to have him for 15 years and I have many amazing memories 😊❤️
She will be missed but never forgotten ❤️
And she's in a better place looking down on you.. Grateful for all the love and care you gave her... I know it will take time before your not looking and expecting her to walk in... I know that feeling.
