What does "home alone" mean to you?
It means lots of things to me :
Home alone means I don’t have to host or placate anybody.
Home alone means Zingali Time (ie. a chance to think, contemplate and slow down)
Home alone is a chance for me to rest and heal
Home alone can be a lonely time when depressed
Home alone signifies the inner struggle I face every day.
The struggle to choose joy.
The struggle to be optimistic.
- The struggle to be productive.
- The struggle to stay relevant
Being home alone is a respite from the daily chaos of bad news, materialism and self-importance
Home alone means not having to answer to somebody else.
In a nutshell, I can sum up my feelings about being “home alone” in a sign I used to have hanging at the record store I managed.
“We have the right to refuse service to anybody for any or NO reason whatsoever”
-- “Be nice or leave”
I'm with you! Home alone = freedom of mind (until my mind is filled with missing my family)
