I will be talking about what exactly I am using to learn French.
I discovered is harder than English. But not so hard that I can't learn it.
I use:
- Duolingo. I've been Duolingo for learning French for 38 days.
The other thing that I am currently doing is I listen a lot to a small story I found on youtube.
I cut the audio out and made 7 separated tracks. Each track equals to two paragraphs. So that when I listen to that story each short audio is on the loop.
I do that to train my ear. It's a long process but that is what I do because I know what kind of results I will get. I did the same with English and results are outstanding.
I have already learned the French keyboard and I can type in French quickly enough.
Here is somewhat of a vague roadmap for my learning curve:
- Finish the "Le pendentif" story.
- Finish the story about a little pianist.
- Go through the Duolingo French course.
- Learn how to read.
- Go through the Easy Languages youtube channel. Specifically through lessons for beginners in French.
- Learn one French song. Only one for now. Charles Trenet - Que Reste - T'il De Nos Amour
- Learn one French poem.
- I will learn the story about three little pigs. https://www.thefrenchexperiment.com/stories/threepigs Here you can find the story in English and French + the audio + pictures.
Good luck learning French and I would like to learn French together.
