Friday The 13th (The Video Game)

AAAH Friday the 13th, a game for the fans.

So to begin with, the game requires internet connection there are no other worthy modes without it. Now on to actually playing. The main game has you most likely play as one of the camp counsellors. Who each have their very cliche strengths and witnesses so you'll be picking the jock to begin with just to get used to the map surroundings and hopefully not get killed off in the first 90 seconds. You might be as unfortunate as me and have to start a new game and change your top after soaking it in sweat. So your objective is to get out the camp, either by assembling car/boat parts to drive/sail out the camp or if your an absolute pro you'll try to kill Jason (I know he's meant to be invincible and I have never seen it been done myself). Running away and acquiring useful items to slow Jason down has you really immersed, always on edge and looking over your shoulder most of the time. The use of team work is vital because if there is a half decent Jason after you he'll out 'Rambo' the lot of you. You do unlock new counsellors who may be best suited to your style of play, if you're the kind of player who likes to keep low or who enjoys the attention and thrill of being chased.
And on the other side is Jason, you'll get to play as him once every 5 games or so in my experience. as Jason you have the abilities to teleport across map, speed up to victims and sense out where counsellors are. Of course these abilities have their cool downs so you best time them as best you can because it will result in either a satisfying execution or a frustrating pursuit in and out of cabins. The executions by Jason are a great gory showcase that even uses the game environment such as tree-stump and fire-places.
It's a fun game for all players. Especially when you join a talkative lobby you'll hear real screams and have real laughs. I'd say it's definitely worth £25 and a Friday night in.
