Hello everyone. I really hope that everyone is doing great during these pandemic hard times. So this is Rishabh and I'm back here with another post for the steemit weekly challenges and today I'll tell you guys about Three Ways To Improve Your Local Area.

Sometimes the smallest things we can do for our neighborhoods can have the biggest impact. So i belong to India From a small Town called "Sirsaganj" it's a small and comes under the district jurisdiction of Firozabad city and it lies in uttar pradesh state which is the biggest state of India.

Transportation is the most important mode of communication and if the roads are not well constructed, the entire transportation process gets spoiled and development process is hampered.

The main highway of our locality was built around 15 to 20 years ago and it has connected the locality with the main city which is about 20 kilometres away from the countryside i am living in. But now it is almost ruined and there are ditches across the road that has made the road bumpy. When it rains, the rain waters clog on the centre of the road and make it muddy.

If the road is repaired the transportation system will be easier. The country people will be able to sell their products at the city markets and newer development endeavours may also be created for the betterment of the local people.

Currently, the rural people of our locality are having different troubles and the businessmen, farmers and the students are the worst sufferers. The farmers who produce food crops cannot sell their goods at a better price. The businessmen cannot continue their business properly for the want of a well-constructed road. The students have to travel in different transportation mode to reach their respective educational institutions located in the nearby city. The problems will be solved only if the highway is rebuilt or repaired.

The local area will be improved in different ways. When the road will be repaired, there will be newer transportation system relieving the labour of travelling in different vehicles to reach the town. Sometimes, the food crops get rotten before they are taken to city markets and the prices fall. If the road is made well it will take less than one hour to reach the city and thus fresh food crops, vegetables, fishes etc. will be sold at a higher price than regular which will improve the financial condition of the producers. The businessmen will be able to bring their goods and necessaries to the village shortly, and thus their business will grow in the village areas. It is another sign of development. Moreover, the students will be able to get higher studies as there will be no barrier to move for the town. Besides, people who work in towns will be able to attend their offices in time by living in their own homes located in the village. Moreover, when the communication system is better, the government will try initiating different development initiative for further enhancement of the area.

As we all know in the local area the major issue is the lack of employment opportunities Unemployment affects the unemployed individual and his family, not only with respect to income, but also with respect to health and mortality. Moreover, the effects linger for decades. The effects of unemployment on the economy are equally severe.

One consequence of unemployment frequently commented upon is a purported increase in crime. However, a large-scale study of the issue came to mixed conclusions about the connection,however, that unemployed persons seeking work are neither more nor less likely to rob or burgle than are the fully employed. Somewhat counter intuitively, however, the study also found that underemployed individuals are "significantly less" likely to commit burglary, but are about as likely to commit robbery as individuals in the general populationThe correlation between joblessness and property crime was greatest among the young. According to a survey joblessness increased the likelihood of burglary for persons aged 18 to 29 four times more so than for unemployed persons 30 and older.

Not Enough Money

This is one of the adverse effects on the individual. Everything in the world costs money. If there is no source of income, you're going to have to settle and go without. If an unemployed individual has a family, it's difficult. Sure, there are unemployment benefits, but they aren't going to pay for extra things to do with your family and travel to new places.

Health Issues

This is another individual negative effect, but an important one. Being unemployed can lead to depression, low self-esteem, anxiety and other mental health issues, especially if an individual truly wants a job but can't find employment. Tension can occur, causing stress and strain on the body.

Economic Issues

During unemployment, there is no income, which leads to poverty. The burden of debt will increase, leading to economic problems. When there is unemployment, the state and the federal governments have to step in and pay unemployment benefits. By needing to pay more of these benefits, the government must borrow money to pay the benefits or reduce spending in other areas

Social Issues

Many crimes are committed by individuals who are unemployed and living in poverty. When unemployment rates increase, crime rates tend to rise. According to the study in journal , individuals who are unemployed for socially unacceptable reasons and don't wish to seek out job opportunities are more likely to engage in burglary or robbery.

So if more factories and industries being developed then it will provide more employment opportunities to everyone and this will help encounter one of the major issue.

Trees improve the livability of our cities for countless reasons. However, for many years tree canopy in our urban areas has been decreasing. Large mature trees which reach the end of their lives are often replaced with smaller species if at all. These replanted trees then struggle to establish and reach maturity due to the demands of paved surrounds around them. Research over the years has confirmed the immense value and benefits that mature urban trees offer our cities. Organizations such as American Forests andTrees Forever actively campaign in support of trees in urban areas. And the more mature the tree, the greater the benefits - so it's critical that trees are planted with mature establishment in mind.

Trees are also proven to remove carbon from the air, getting absorbed and stored as cellulose in their trunks, branches, and leaves . Planting trees remains one of the most cost-effective ways of drawing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. A single mature tree can absorb CO2 at a rate of 21.6 KG/year and release enough oxygen back into the atmosphere to support.Research has also shown a 60% reduction in particulates from car exhaust fumes on streets lined with trees.

Parks provide space for neighbourhood residents to interact with each other and meet new people. They're also great spaces for events and for people to engage in recreational activities. This allows people to develop a sense of community.

Trees remove a wide variety of pollutants from the air. Air pollution can increase risk of certain cancers and have adverse effects on children, the elderly and anyone with underlying respiratory problems. It also reduces the distance you can see on a summer day and increases the mortality rate in highly polluted cities.

You’ve probably heard about the many problems caused by a lack of physical activity. The sedentary lifestyle many Canadians live today is directly linked to obesity, which can cause a number of health problems including certain forms of cancer and heart disease. Parks make a neighbourhood more enjoyable to walk through and provide space for popular sports.

It seems obvious that a place where people are able to make connections, meet new friends and participate in recreational activities is also good for the locals’ mental health. After all, physical health and strong relationships are important to maintaining mental well being.Yet the mental health benefits of parks go beyond the obvious. Direct exposure to nature has its own benefits on mental health, reducing stress and increasing happiness. And these effects take place almost immediately.

So there are still various things that actually needs improvement in my local area but i have written on top issues which i found major issues and these issues must be improved in every local area.
