This fossil ammonite was found
by me in Germany years ago in and
around some of the many quarries.
The indented dark areas are the
chambers of this limestone shell.
This ripple view might make
for a cool clock face.
The knob in the middle sticks
up like a pointer. This closeup
shows more of the crystals.
I got so excited when I found
this puppy!

About the only fossil thing we find on the beach
is once in awhile some petrified wood, one time
a tiny rare piece of amber. There is fossil bone like
mammoth, but no luck on that yet. You should
see how costly cut polished little piece of
mammoth tooth is, yeow!
Fossils are exciting to find, found many shells
years ago.
