Here’s the interview with Jared Kushner that red-pilled the All-in guys on the trustworthiness of their media. They/we were told, again and again, that this guy was an idiot, a moron, with no experience, who got his job through nepotism.
And then you listen to this, and it’s blindingly clear first, that this guy is absolutely brilliant, and second, that he is of incredible moral character. Such that in combination, the fact that he made more progress on thorny issues like criminal justice reform and peace in the Middle East than anyone in decades was not an accident.
From a character perspective, his humility, curiousity, charity, lack of ego and desire to be of service are so strong that the only person I can think to compare him to is Ted Lasso. I feel absolutely blessed that he put in his years of service. I wish we had a dozen more like him (working on either side of the aisle - he’s been registered as a Democrat, Independent, and Republican). That he was vilified says something profound to me about how distortionary Trump Derangement Syndrome was.
